LaSalle II LSC vote for Wicker Park CPS School

Election of the Local School Counsel (LSC) LaSalle II Magnet School.

In this election, any Chicago resident can vote.  

The vote will be on April 21, 2010 at LaSalle II located at 1148 N. Honore, just east of Damen on Division across from Moonshine.

Voting takes place between 6:00AM and 7:00PM and you will need 2 forms of ID (a picture ID and utility bill/voters registration/library card, etc).   

In Chicago, most public schools have a Local School Counsel (LSC).  The LSC helps set policy, approve the budget and manage the school.   Each LSC is made up of six parents, two teachers, two community members and the principal. The LSC gives parents and the community a strong voice in the management of local education. This is LaSalle II’s first LSC election.  Twelve parent candidates are running and only the top six will serve.
